FAQ
All tours are private small groups — 2 guests are enough to depart, with a 4WD vehicle throughout and no strangers sharing your group. The more guests, the lower the cost per person and the more flexible the tour.
Yes. The itinerary can be flexibly adjusted to your time, energy and preferences. In case of road control or weather, we will adapt the route order without cutting any experiences.

Spring brings Yili flower seas and Southern Xinjiang apricot blossoms; summer offers the Duku Road and lavender; autumn shows Kanas golden birch and poplar forests; winter reveals Hemu's snow town and Sayram's blue ice — every season has its own unique scenery.
Includes a 4WD vehicle with driver, all accommodation, selected local home-style meals, hidden photo spots with photo assistance, one memory film per guest, and help with border permits and other formalities.
Yes. All photos in the albums were taken by us during real journeys; some come from our public albums.
It depends on the scenery you love. For a first visit we recommend summer — the landscape is rich and layered, and all the seasonal fruit is ripe.
Summer is the best season to visit. In the Northern Xinjiang mountains bring a light down jacket — day–night swings can reach 20°C. The air is dry, so clothes washed at night are dry by morning. The hottest place is Turpan — first of China's 'Four Great Furnaces' — where in July the ground can reach 80°C with a felt temperature around 40°C.
Winter roughly runs November to March. Mountains can reach -30°C and Ürümqi about -20°C at its coldest. Winter is beautiful too — snow play and hot springs are great, and off-season flights are very cheap.
Forests, flower seas, lakes, grasslands, poplar forests, deserts, glaciers, canyons, ancient cities, Yardang landforms and snow scenes — everything imaginable except the sea, and in recent years even pink auroras.
Absolutely. 90% of the world's poplar trees grow in China, 90% of those in Xinjiang, and 90% of those in Southern Xinjiang. Poplars 'live a thousand years, stand a thousand after death, and remain a thousand more after falling' — dreamlike gold in autumn.
Yes. Our tours suit all ages with no physical demands — the car drives right up to the sights. Expect longer driving times; special hiking and horse-riding days aside.
We recommend ages five or six and up. Xinjiang is dry with big day–night temperature swings, so extra attention to hydration and warmth is needed.
Don't worry. You ascend gradually by car so your body adapts; so far no traveller has experienced altitude sickness in Northern Xinjiang.
Yes, with flexibility. It works best if you accept alliums, eggs, dairy and 'table-side vegetarian' (picking from shared dishes). Vegetables are plentiful in summer; winter menus lean meat-heavy.
There is also chicken, horse and mule meat. Pork (called 'big meat' locally) is only served in Han-Chinese restaurants. Please don't mention pork inside halal restaurants — respect local customs.
All markets in Xinjiang price goods by the kilogram. Locals are generous — buy too little and vendors may rather not sell.
Very safe. The locals are kind-hearted with no theft or robbery — many find it more reassuring than coastal cities or abroad.
Yes. Service areas, petrol stations and restaurants along the highway all have restrooms. In the wide-open landscape, 'going wild' is fine too — a long skirt or a big umbrella helps.
Every season has its own unique scenery — feel free to ask us about tour details and current bloom conditions.
